Fishing at Selawik Lake, Alaska
Selwik Lake sits on the Selawik National Refuge which attracts anglers year round. The refuge, containing 24,000 lakes and ponds, is known to be the best place for sheefishing. The lake also has other fish species including Grayling, Burbot, Northern Pike, White Fish, Salmon, Dolly Varden, Lake Trout, Cisco, Herring, Flounder, and Arctic Char. Fishing by boat is popular in the summer and winter activities include ice fishing.
